Full Biography

With extensive clinical experience, I drive an innovative program tasked with improving referral pathways out of GP practices. The flagship program involved both developing and promoting an alternative in-home hospital-standard care service to substitute hospital admissions. Encouraging GPs to refer patients to this service delivered both substantial patient benefits and reduced hospital admission costs and served as proof-of-concept for other hospital avoidance initiatives. Beyond the program design, a key part of my role was rebuilding trust with stakeholders. These efforts included seeking feedback from the network to advise relevant parties on required improvements as well as launching some solutions to improve communication to GPs such as a program information app. This position has been instrumental in developing my skills in clinical program support, not just in the clinical terms familiar from my long nursing career but also contextualised with commercial, operational and interpersonal considerations.
