While at BioMed, I managed all aspects of an Enterprise Microsoft branch office network with 60 + users, including Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Group Policy, WSUS and system imaging.  Management of all network hardware and software lifecycles, procurement, configuration and implementation.  Management of WAN, VPN and Remote Access for staff.  Management of mobile and wireless devices such as cell phones, tablets and laptops etc.  One of the more extensive projects that I was tasked with was converting product/device labels from one software vendor to another.  This was quite an involved process and took many months and involved many departments.  It was a great experience builder for projects that involved many regulatory agencies and stringent manufacturing process and product controls.

My final role at Litehouse was Sr. System/Network Administrator for a network of 600+ users across three main facilities.  I used my 10+ years of IT experience to design and implement hardware and software infrastructure solutions that supported Litehouse’s business initiatives while also providing high service availability.  I was responsible for maintaining the core Windows Server operating systems and their individual roles/features.  I was also responsible for the core network infrastructure that these systems used for communication both internally and externally.  During the three years I was employed at Litehouse, I helped change the culture through the implementation of the ITILv3 framework.  Through this implementation Litehouse realized higher software and hardware availability and improved service delivery.  The Litehouse IT Department also evolved from a firefighting culture to one of controlled change.  Before leaving we were involved in continuous improvement of existing processes and providing our users with more opportunity for “self-service”.

Based on my skills, experience and family heritage I could be classified as a "High-Tech Redneck". I love to hunt, fish and ride dirt bikes.  I also love to read and participate in conversations with all walks of life.  I come from a family full of addicts and PHDs so I do my best to maintain a life somewhere in the middle lol.
