I love to learn more and more about IT and help others in the process.  I am a Network Engineer for a Consulting company and have a fantastic time at my job - I LOVE what I do...most of the time ;)

I'm familiar with a lot of things, being an outside contractor.  It exposes me to a lot of different scenarios and environments.

Sometimes I'm quick to respond with inquiries and well...like any other IT guy I get pulled away, have to travel somewhere or...well, I get hungry too!  So don't get too mad if we were on a roll back and forth and I failed to tell you that I was done because I have to eat dinner and be with the family ;)  I'll help people as much as I can and take them as far as I can go before I've got to take care of some of my own commitments.  Make sure to never take it personal.

I'm also "that guy" that's short-tempered when it comes to poorly-worded questions.  Everyone posting here is smart enough to post a question that's worth having an expert view.  If you aren't, then please don't bother.  Since we're all volunteers, my time is quite valuable as it is.  I don't need to read over one-liners that people put together for questions that explain absolutely nothing about the problem and we're all supposed to somehow extract the information from you over a period of 5 inquiries or more.  Don't misread this as someone simply not having the skillset to post what I expect.  Nah, I'll get that from them, as will other experts.  I'm talking about questions that leave a million things up in the air, knowing there's a lot more to the story that they don't bother posting because...I don't know...why do you guys do that?

If you expect serious responses, please post serious questions and provide details in your initial post for anything pertaining to the problem(s) at hand.
