I've been in IT for over 12 years now and started my days building new computers for the public at a small local computer company/shop. After a couple of years working my way to Field engineer for the corporate customers, I moved to a Large IT company, whom i was with for a number of years and had many projects of a variety under my belt. Afterwards i left to join a Consultancy position which i did for a couple of years. Durng that time i took on a multi-million pound Project for the Private Helth Sector as a Project Manager. This was to implement their 5th and last site, which turned out to be the customers most successful site implementation project.
During the last 4 years, and to my surprise, i got into programming with Excel VBA, then VBScript and Visual Basic. It has become my most favorite skill and also a small hobby, and i never tire of it. I'm now learning C# as i have a number of ideas i would like to develop in the near future.
All my skills are mainly self taught and all my programming skills are self taught by reading and studying the subjects over time.
I'm also currently working towards my VCP (VMware) certification.
I joined EE only to ask my first ever question in my career on a network issue. (all other things i ever needed to find answers to, i was always able to find that someone else had asked it before). However, since joining, I immediately found myself thoroghly enjoying helping others, and one of the great thing about tis site is its professionalism and seemingly endless supply of true experts. :)
