Full Biography

Since EE no longer displays this stuff:
-----------------------------------------------
Full Name:       Leigh Purvis
Date of Birth:  17th April 1974
Gender:           Male

Graduated from University about a million years ago with a Masters in Mathematics.
Have been a Database Developer since 1998 (wow - that feels old now).
I love Access, always have - it's my preferred environment and I love working in almost every aspect of it.
(Knowing Jet's strengths but acknowledging its limitations is important - there's a tool for every job, hence I'm a big proponent of SQL Server too).

I'm a database developer / consultant / contractor based towards the north of England, working for companies from the north east (Northumberland/Tyne & Wear) down, through South Yorkshire, to the mythical south of England (though I'm not entirely convinced such a place really does exist) .
I like having different clients - the wider the variety the better! Have done a lot of work in the legal sector though.

Day in, day out I do database development / improvement / consultation, MS Office integration, etc. As well as helping out in online forums, creating examples, co-authoring a book and even writing the occasional article.
(I achieve all this by willingly existing on a diet of mostly eating Cornflakes! Though I do gladly entertain the notion of other cereals such as Shreddies and Oatibix! What a life huh? Give cereal a chance in your life too. Spread the word. :-)

Please keep questions at the forum for the benefit of all.

Intended for the professional and information worker to learn to design the DATABASE STRUCTURE correctly with various business examples.
(i.e. it does NOT go into serious application development!)
