I've been in IT for 10 years or so. Mostly Windows platforms. Came up through the old school of Windows for Workgroups, NT and 2000 domains. Got a couple certs along the way, but mostly hands on. Prefer servers to desktops and techs to users! ;-)
Its my philosphy that if users would READ THE SCREEN, I wouldn't get as many help calls!
Currently I'm an IT Director for a brokerage firm in Memphis TN, with offices in Chicago, Houston and St. Louis. Couple remote users scattered accross the US too. I've been with bigger companies like International Paper and Gulfstream, but prefer a more "manageable" environment. Couple hundred users and a few T1's and I'm a happy camper.
