In my previous life, I was a *Squeeze* Molder, then
a Melter on an 80 Ton blast furnace, in a Pennsylvania
Iron Foundry. I studied Industrial Metallurgy and
AppleBasic Programming to get out of the foundry.
Then Metallurgical Technician at a Steel Castings
Foundry (WAY better than pounding sand and breaking my
back for a living), wrote QBasic for DOS in the Spectrometer Lab.
Then Production Control Supervisor (fancy name for
*Foundry Supervisor who also does the Job Scheduling*),
wrote Scheduling software in VBA for Excel.
Currently a Database App. Designer for Access, ASP, and VB.
Also studying Perl & Python, PHP and Linux to get ready for the
inevitable exodus from the Microsoft environment.
