New Charter Group is a housing association with around 20,000 homes with a turnover of approximately £100m a year and a workforce of 900 people, the Group is one of Greater Manchester's largest registered providers of social housing.
I am a technical hands on manager responsible for the infrastructure team and all infrastructure related functions including telephony, networks, remote access, perimeter security, storage, VMware and the Windows server estate.

★ Implementation of Virtual Desktop solution using VMware Horizon View in-conjunction with UniDesk software layering technologies (Citrix App Layering) with Hyper-converged storage, to replace current outdated system for remote access for mobile and home workers. Comprising of two factor text message authentication for added security.
★ Migration of on premise Alcatel PBX telephony to a cloud based Skype for Business system, including the Contact Centre (Netcall) and PCI payment solution to allow New Charter to deliver on its Unified Communications and channel shift strategies. Savings on yearly expenditure and improved disaster recovery/business continuity options.
