I left University in 2002 with a Masters in Chemistry, and in 2007 found employment with my current company, initially working in Procurement. I was in that role for 3 years, before being offered the position of Works Manager. In the new role I was responsible for daily planning of incoming and out going goods from our Warehouse and Yard. I was also involved in staff management, and also daily site operations and maintenance.
Due to a previously unknown medical condition, I realised I would no longer be able to continue in this role and was consequently offered to train and take over the companies software management. I spent time with the software developer who was coming up to retirement, and so was able to go through the existing program in detail with the person who designed and wrote it. Following his subsequent retirement, I am not working on developing the system further, adding in new programs to increase the capacity of the system further.
