My hobby started with a ZX Spectrum in the early 80's, through Atari ST and into PCs by the early 90's. Writing my own programs, tools and games in basic, C and assembler. I chose a maths/computer science BSc to study because of my hobby, and then a career as a computer programmer after that. My hobby still continues, but less programming at home mainly to prevent burnout. :)

I consider myself a highly advanced programmer/user of VB, SQL (DB2/400, MS, MySQL) and Excel, and an experienced user of the internet.

Currently I deal with IBM's RPG and DB2/400, and Sun's Java on a daily basis.
