Full Biography

I have a A.A.S. in Computer Networking.  While attending school I "survived" as a full time Computer Sales and Technician at a local Computer Renaissance.  I left for a short time to persue a career in Systems Consultant.  However, the long days and lack of overtime pay was the deciding factor to leave.  I did gain some valuable experience as a consultant;  I was able to do some contract work for a local Internation Airport and Pyxis / Cardinal Health work for a local Hospital.  Pyxis is a secure proprietary NT box that controls a number of drawers, cabinets, and fridges to secure their pharmaceutical  drugs.  I left Consultant work for Computer Renaissance again (the same one in fact), where I stayed for a number of months.   However, my employer deicded to "cash in" on my consultant expereince and again put me on the road--this time cutting my mileage pay!  So I began looking for another job... finally, Dead River called!  Dead River Company is the largest reseller of petroleum products (oil, gas, and propane) in New England.  They have offices in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.  We are all a full service company.  We own gas stations, convience stores, deli's, service stations.  All our service stations offer oil and propane delivery.  We also offer expert service work.   I am currently in the IT / DP department. We mantain numerous network links between many divisions.  Our systems are OpenVMS based running on an Alpha.  We also are working on a large Thin Client Project to reduce IT costs.  The system will be a linux distro. called "Pxes Thin Client"  which wil launch a Windows Terminal Services session with our W2K3 server.
