Hi, I have chosen to move to Minnesota, twice.  Once could be considered a mistake, but twice is a sure sign of aberrant thinking.

I have been programming since 1970 or so, and collect languages for fun.  the distinction between data and methods is a fun one -> XML vs operations is one that I get to speak on a lot.

I do some programming in VB, but mostly by following patterns I find around.  I find walking the object model a lore-based rather than rule based search technique.

lisp inside emacs, and now XEmacs has been my mainstay over the decades, it was one of the first places that you could do good things based on regular expressions.

I am interested in pattern matching, and disgusted by HP printer software.
