• Creating, monitoring and maintenance of Windows 2008R2 and Linux (Ubuntu/Centos) virtual servers using the VMWare suite of tools.
• The administration of those servers including file sharing, job scheduling, trouble shooting, data back-up, user accounts, file/group security and general engineering support.
• The maintenance and support of Office 365, including user accounts, archiving, security, mail/distribution/O365 groups, billing, subscriptions and troubleshooting any issues within the various applications, including Sharepoint.
• Analysing processes and procedures, looking for areas where tasks can be better automated using PowerShell and GPOs.
• The maintenance, support and rollout of Kaspersky Antivirus across the estate to ensure as much protection as possible, including both desktops and servers.
• Implementing, operating and continual improvement of the build system for desktop devices.
• Responding to tickets via the Request Tracker ticketing system sorting any issue or request from users at all levels of the business worldwide.
• Liaising with 3rd party service providers regarding issues or requests, including our firewall provider and datacentre hosting provider.
• Other related tasks include IT Procurement, hardware installations, network switch and patch configuration, warranty call outs, workstation builds, process documentation and inventory control.
