Description
Under general direction, to plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of subordinate staff engaged in supporting enterprises, information systems, data processing, telecommunications, or computer-based office services within a department.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Technology Services Supervisor primary responsibility is to supervise, train, assign, evaluate and review the work of staff within an assigned unit. Work includes planning, scheduling and coordinating work operations and supervising staff involved in the resolution of the more difficult information technology and telecommunication problems/issues. The Technology Services Supervisor is distinguished from the Senior Systems Analyst, Local Area Network Systems Administrator, Network Systems Administrator, and the Telecommunications Coordinator by the formers responsibility to supervise, train and evaluate the work of staff assigned to a unit.
