I run my own enginnering company, www.pemltd.co.uk and as part of that I administor the IT. This involves sorting out 20 odd users on a windows network. We run all the usual Microsoft Office applications + Sage Accounts, Solidworks 3D and Radan 2D CAD. All the manufacturing on the shopfloor and in the office is controlled using and Access database.

This means that programming is by no means my main job, day to day I manage mechanical engineering production, but every few years I rewrite/update our database system. This gives me just enough time between updates to forget most of what I know about coding.

Currently I'm trying to use Access 2007 to run a recursive production control system that reorders shopfloor work-to-do priorities as design specs change, materials come in or become late.

As a hobby I'm interested in astronomy and have built a backyard observatory www.stoney-hills.com
