Professional Background
Sr Stf UNIX Administrator/Lab Manager
Lockheed Martin
September 2001 – Present
I have worked as a UNIX Systems Administrator for the past 22 years, supporting various flavors of UNIX from Tru 64 UNIX, HP-UX, Solaris, SCO UNIX, IBM AIX, Red Hat Linux, CentOS, and Ubuntu. I originally started with Lockheed Martin in April 1996 as a UNIX Systems Administrator for the Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems Applied Engineering group. After 3 name changes and dissolution of the Applied Engineering group, I transferred to Lockheed Martin EIS as part of the Manassas CODA/I team managing the CODA/I owned UNIX systems supporting JLACTD, GTN, TIS, and other programs. In September 2001, became a program directed IT support member of a new group, CODA/L as a SR UNIX Systems Administrator. This position eventually reported directly into Program Operations as part of the LM IS&GS CIO organization. In early 2011, it was decided by the CIO to reduce management of Program Operations and I became part of LM IS&GS Defense. I was the System Integration Lead for the Strategic Warfighter Enterprise Program in Springfield, VA and the lab manager for the GTN Sustainment Lab located in Manassas, VA. Currently I am the Technical Lead System Administrator for the Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility Program (RF-ITV) in the US Army. I prioritize tasks, coordinate efforts and manage all aspects of the lab and production environments located in DISA DECC facilities and Army PD locations. I lead a team of 2 Oracle DBAs, 1 UNIX SA, and 2 Windows SAs. I have experience as a Windows Administrator (Server & Desktop) and I also serve as the Network Engineer for the program. I specialize in lab processes and procedures having created and maintained 7 major lab processes including Risk Assessments and Disaster Recovery Plans. In December 2010, I received my Network Engineering - Specialist Careers Study Certificate from NVCC and another Careers Certificate in Cyber Security as of May 2014. I hold a DoD security clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification
