Strangely enough, I went to school to be a artist. After spending a few post-college years as a graphic designer (The demand for sculptors in 1989 was not what I'd hoped), I moved to Mac consulting--helping folks use Photoshop, Word, etc. One of my clients charged me with building some pre-press utilities using AppleScript/QuarkXpress--my first taste at programming! (If I don't include the Basic programs I wrote in high school on a TRS-80--essentially countless lines of GOTO statements). The web woke up in '95 and after a few more years of graphic design, I found ColdFusion, then moved to ASP (fun at the time, I groan when I have to touch it now), and ultimately .NET for the last 4 years... good times indeed.
