I was born, grew up and am now growing old and will probably die somewhere in the 21th century...
More bioStarted as a software engineer Microsoft Basic PDS 7, followed by Borland Delphi versions and now also on C#, ASP.NET and much, much more.
I would define myself as studious, since I love to learn new things, new techniques and at software level, I've seen plenty of it.
I am patient, because rushing any job will cost much in quality, and quality is often more important than speed. I've seen it happen too often when projects were rushed and thus fail, simply because the resulting product either had too many faults or just becomes too costly to maintain.
I prefer to think things through, considering a problem from every angle before deciding upon the best solution. I don't believe in silver bullets and golden hammers that solve each and every problem. Each problem has it's own specifics that need to be overseen.
Right now, I am looking for a new job as Software Engineer (senior) in or around Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I've specialized in Delphi and C#/ASP.NET but also have enough experience other techniques and development systems.
A back injury I've had in february 2013 has been healed reasonable well but an underlying condition requires me to digest more calcium and spend more time in the sun to get more vitamin D. (Pills with calcium and vitamin D also work well.) I also have to exercise more often, which is something all software developers should do, since they spend a lot of time sitting behind their desk.
