** Me on Experts Exchange
**************************
Hi,
I'm a database professional and enthousiast from Tilburg, the Netherlands. On Experts Exchange
I'm willing to help anyone asking for help in my area of expertise.
This is Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008, with the focus on the 2005 edition.
After a three year period (11/2007 - 10/2010), I'm planning on getting back into the active problem solving for EE.
However, take the following into account:
When I write some SQL code for you, to resolve the issue you stated, use it wise. That is, I often
try to use my lost quarters to come to Expert Exchange and answer a question, or two, or ...
Most of the time I have a connection with a running database at hand, and I will be able to deliver
tested SQL code. But not always. Next to that I'm only human, my code is not always flawless ...sorry !
So when my SQL code is not a select statement, make sure to test in a non-production environment
or run it within a transaction that can be rolled back or make sure you have a recent backup in some
format available before running my scripts against production critical databases !
A database is an easy concept, only SQL makes it sometimes hard to derive the info out of the data.
... and in the end everything turns out to be a database !
Hope to find your questions at Experts Exchange ...
Should you ever need to contact me directly, send an email to Yveau01 [at] gmail [dot] com.

** the ranking system is a very nice side effect of my efforts.
