I'm Adam. I'm an IT guy.
More bioI have worked in the IT industry since about 1996 in various capacities from Consumer Desktop Support to Government Security Auditing. I studied Computer Systems Technology in college for a couple years before becoming an English major and obtaining a Bachelors in Professional Writing. In my last semester of college, I realized that I can stand writing and editing for about 2 hours at a stretch before my brain goes numb, but I can work on computers for hours upon hours at a time, so I stuck with IT after graduation and obtained a plethora of certifications which include:
MCP (The default, "Who cares?" MS Cert)
MCDST
MCSA 2003 +Security
MCSE 2003
MCTS Configuring Vista
MCTS Exchange 2010, Configuration
MCTS Windows 2008 Configuring Active Directory
MCTS Windows 2008 Configuring Network Infrastructure
MCTS Windows 2008 Applications Framework Configuration
MCTS Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Implementation and Maintenance
MCITP: EA
MCITP: Database Administrator 2008
MCITP: Enterprise Messaging 2010
MCSA: Windows Server 2012
MCSE: Exchange 2013
CCNA
CompTIA Security +
CISSP
And I'm still working on more.
My main purpose for using EE is to learn more about my trade. A lot of the questions I answer are only just slightly above my head, so I try to work them out the best I can. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I fall flat. It's a little difficult to keep track of all the questions I am involved in, so if I don't answer a followup question quickly enough, don't hesitate to message or email me for a quicker response.
