I've been in the IT field for about 10 years working in a wide range of business types from Education through to big Blue-Chip corporations. Over those 10 years I've supported some interesting and diverse systems from the usual desktop and mobile systems as well as various server platforms like Novell, Linux, Unix and of course the usual Microsoft servers right from NT4 through to 2008 server.  I did my National Diploma in IT Applications back in 1999 following on with a HNC in Computing Systems in 2001. Then did my NVQ level 3 in Supporting IT Systems and my A+ certification in 2005.
Since then I have put down my vocational hat and have taken part in more of the IBM certification courses like System x Specialisation and also Blade Server Specialisation too.
I Currently work as an IBM and HP server engineer and also work on a wide variety of Cisco kit too.

Outside of my main job I also run a hosting company that specialises in hosting and web solutions as well as bespoke programming and IT solution services. Some of the other areas my business supports are VoIP applications and integration services, which bascially means tieing different systems and/or databases together so that they collaborate with each other.
