I started working on computers about 10 years ago in response to inadequate technical support.  Since then I have obtained my A+ Certification and have passed six of the seven exams for my MCSE 2000 track.  I plan to take the last exam this February.  I am doing the MCSE by home study.  I am the LAN Administrator for the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin, TX.  I got this position in August of 2000.  It is a one person IT position responsible for five servers, 80 workstations, 15 terminals and 93 users.  We are part of a nationwide WAN and the network includes Windows NT, Unix and Novell servers with Windows 98 workstations, mtx1683 terminals and POS terminals.  In addition to maintaining the network and workstations, I publish a how-to newsletter for users, created an internal website for the our LAN and am now working on a website for linking to emails about our upcoming renovations.  I have my own website at: http://abenitez-ebooksandmore.com.  

For many years before getting into computers I was a woodworker with my own shop.  I love to work with computers and writing.  I have written books on self employment and woodworking plus an ebook on woodworking.
