The Manager of Information Systems provides leadership in
the development and securing of the district student information management system, finance information system, and plans, directs, and evaluates the use and maintenance of presently existing software and the development of new secure software systems used for processing and managing student information.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Extensive experience with VB, C# .NET programming languages to develop secure Windows applications for integration of dissimilar information systems so that information flows freely between systems. Designed, programmed and implemented an online student registration system, and an online lunch payment system for the district that enables parents to register their student for school online and make payments toward student lunches in an easy to use interface, complete with credit card processing. Created and maintain an athletic summer camp registration system complete with credit card processing. Manage and maintain all SQL database servers in the district. I have saved the school district well over $3,000,000 in software and hardware costs for the over the past 5 years.

Selected to provide daily monitoring and technical support of all computer systems for more than 550 faculty and staff, 3,100 students and approximately 1,500 nodes as well as configuration of all servers and Local Area Network (LAN) switching equipment to provide Internet access and network resources to two campuses. Activities include installing, repairing and maintaining all servers and workstations and establishing and maintaining Internet and email security including Spam filtering and Virus protection. Provide district with a secure Windows 2003/XP environment and configured Active Directory group policies to limit student access to network resources. Responsible for configuration of site-to-site Cisco routing equipment.
