Full Biography

Started programming as a Civil Engineer Student in College (late 60's) Fortran.  Then through the years programmed Basic, Cobol, Univac Assembler, Entrex Editor, Sentinel and Dbase.  Worked with Univac (octal), IBM, Tandem, DEC and Data General machines.

Moved through my career from Programmer to Analyst to DP Manager to Project Manager to Director of IT Contracts and Purchasing.

Now in consulting mode working with companies that need project management assistance for technical purchasing and IT contract negotiation from developing requirements to executing the contract.

Have been working on a system in Access that takes user team requirements, builds an evaluation criteria, weighting the issues, imports vendor proposals, matching against user requirements, has the team score the proposals and then runs multiple reports determining the vendor that best meets the requirements.
Benefits:
Reduce meeting time - Allows employee to be more productive
Immediate update of current status
Focus meetings on critical issues - reports clearly show team disparities and issues to be addreesed
Encourage independent thinking - Team Members enter thoughts, questions, comments
Imports Word and Excel documents - Reduces "flipping" through paper documents
etc, etc, etc

Also working on upgrading Commercial  Access 97 DB to current version for deployment
