I work with cable tv company.  Running a very mixed environment of systems exposes me to a lot of technologies.  Some of the systems and functions I do are; Ensure all operating systems Novell, Windows NT/2000/XP, Unix, Linux, Solaris workstations/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.   Implemented and support data/media recoverability by a schedule of system backups and database archive operations across different platforms Novell, Windows NT/2000, Unix, Linux and Solaris with open agents for SQL, Exchange, Informix, Btrieve and Netware.  Implement and maintain network security and policies including programming of Linux Ipchains firewalls.  Managed and direct routine hardware and software audits of workstations/servers for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines.  Implemented and managed servers with DNS, DHCP, BOOTP, VPN, Apache, SNMP and Proxy running on Windows and Linux operating systems.  Design and implemented LAN and WAN with Cisco equipments.
