Delphi programmer since 1995, programmed in other languages since I was 10. Now a senior software engineer specialising in simulation software, mainly railway related. I have DirectX experience, Windows experience, multi-screen, etc. Used D2, D4Pro, D6Std, D7Pro, 2009. Now moving on to other languages and technologies - web stuff as that seems to be popular these days.
My company's main product is one I wrote at home before I joined the company. 10 years in development, originally sold on the Internet, now free, used by thousands of users around the world. http://www.simsig.co.uk
Based in the UK but have worked in the USA.
My philosophy is "if it can go wrong, it probably will". So I tolerate dodgy, data, awkward users and the like by allowing for it in code, rather than letting it crash...
