11 years as a NCR mainframe operator/analyst, in those days I used to say that I worked in DP but I don't say that anymore.  I still only type with 2 fingers, 'cos that's the way I learnt.  I challenge anyone, possibly the new Governor of California excepted, to press down the columnar keys on an old Teletype keyboard with their little finger.

Next 11 years all I saw of computers was the occasional Amstrad PC1640, who could possibly need more than 640K of RAM!

Then, on a fateful day just over 4 years ago I bought my own PC and since then I've cursed and sworn at it quite a lot but most of all I've enjoyed the challenge of , once again, making a computer do what I want it to do and not what it wants to.
