I'm an IT guy. I've been messing with computers since the days of the Atari 800 and the Commodore VIC 20. Worked briefly on an Apple II E, but have spent the majority of my adult life in the IBM compatible/DOS/Windows world. My first "PC" was an Epson clone of an IBM XT level computer. I've used every version of Windows except the very first one and the first version of NT.
I'm now a network manager and run our server farm, am an Exchange admin, and do the security for our company. Just recently we started to move into the world of virtualization, but as of this writing I am still a newbie.
Last year I took the plunge into the Mac world and am loving it. If I had the option, I would never start up another Windows machine again. Check out my Apple Convert blog at http://jyappleconvert.blogspot.com/.
I just recently put a second imac at my desk at home (one's for work and the other for me) and for the first time in over 25 years I don't have a DOS/Windows-based PC at my desk... and at work I have a Mac Pro.
