After completion of my degree in Physics, I have followed two distinct scientific career paths: one related to applied physics and materials science, and the other related to computer science and astrophysics.

I originally embarked in the fascinating world of nanotechnology. I hold a Master's degree in Materials Science and Applied Physics. My own research in plasma physics as a new ecological technique for Industrial textile processing was recognized with an award in 2003 by the prestigious institution AEQCT - Spanish Association of Textile Chemists and Colourists.

After that, I had the chance to expand my horizons by venturing into astrophysics. I hold a PhD in Astrophysics and Computer Science. My astrophysics career has enabled me to publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals, ranked as leaders such as Astronomy and Astrophysics, The Astrophysical Journal and Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.  

I have developed a teaching university career at my country Spain. Recently I have had an ongoing involvement in the project ‘The Global Dimension in Engineering Education GDEE – Mainstreaming education on sustainable development’. It is an initiative funded by the European Union and developed by universities and non-governmental organizations from the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain. The aim of this project is to integrate principles of human development, globalization, climate change, sustainability and inequality into mainstream teaching.
 
As part of my participation, I have delved into research to develop technology for sustainable human development. With these essays I contribute my two cents worth to make the world a better place. I hope to raise public awareness about the impacts of technology.

I write divulgation articles about sustainability, science and technology in a very popular Spanish online journal called Tendencias21.net and in the platform Experts-Exchange.com.
