I am a 21-year-old HP-UX Admin with a focus in perl and shell scripting. I am also involved in hardware and networking aspects, as well as integration of Unix and NT (samba).

I work in a fast-paced telecom environment, on a platform that requires 24x7 support.

I'm also a writer, an artist, and a dabbler in multiple technologies. I am an MCSE-less one exam, although Microsoft can be considered the Evil Empire. ;) I plan on achieving HP-UX admin certification by the end of this year (2000).

I am working on expanding my knowledge in various web-based arenas, such as Javascript, XML, and the CGI-aspect of perl scripting.

I have heard of Python and Ruby (ha!), and have some experience in Visual Basic and C++ (must be able to read the code to troubleshoot many difficulties, we have our own in-house development team and run predominantly custom-built applications).
