More bioI am a retired Fortran Programmer.
Actually a retired ORSA (Operation Research Analyst) which is a programmer who also knows some math and statistics.
My last assignment was at the WPC near
Kaiserslautern, Germany working on a computerized war game which used Fortran and the Ingess RDB which used QUEL rather than SQL.
I now enjoy Visual Basic 6 and have recently discovered Excel 2000 and some of the power of MS Office 2000.
I found Ture on the internet and he quickly solved an Excel problem for me and invited me to join experts-exchange.
I am planning to build a small web site
to combine some math with VB programming techniques. My starting ideas are: The Mandelbrot Set,
Strange Attractors,Numerical Integration , several programs based on a statement made by Ramanujan and the number 1729, and an interseting game which I learned while working in Jeddah,Saudia Arabia.
I have been quite impressed by the
experts exchange.....leo
