Used to be a very active member on EE but since the large scale changes in the way things are done on the site and the way it works, I've decided to step back from it.
Experts Exchange... Clothing me since 2003
C#: More a Windows programmer than a web programmer. Although I focus on C# I come from a background of VB.NET and VB.
C#: I work primarily in C#. I started out with VB.NET as my first .NET language although I began things commercially with VB.
SQL: I've been programming SQL server, specifically T-SQL, since the days of SQL 6.5 and work very heavily in SQL on a daily basis.
General web development knowledge including HTML. Not so hot with CSS but then I'm a coder not a designer
Some Act! and Goldmine experience although I don't like to talk about it!
Some Dynamics development knowledge
Knowledge of Sage 200 and 300 ERP.
I've done embedded programming work on various microcontroller boards.
General database knowledge
Linux (mainly Debian and Raspbian)
Computer Hardware, although not so much these days as I don't have time to dabble with it
Plenty of Windows experience picked up along the way from Windows 2.0 to the latest versions and I worked and played with DOS a lot before making the jump to Windows. Worked with DOS from 3.0 right through to the latest incarnation bundled with Windows ME.
Worked with DR-DOS 5.0 and 6.0
I've been working in the IT industry commercially since 1998 but I've been coding in various languages since about 1985 and I've seen plenty of progression and change over the years. In fact I've been messing around with computers since I got my first ZX Spectrum back in the mid 80's and decided I wanted to know how games were made so I discovered BASIC and then took some tentative (short lived) steps into assembler!
I've worked in telecoms, the financial industry more specifically micro payment sites, the book publishing industry, and oddly the poultry industry, and now I'm in the CRM industry as a senior technical consultant.
I do work full time but I do engage in external project work where it doesn't interfere or conflict with my day job.
I also fix computers, rebuild them, etc.
