I have been associated with computers of various types for well over 20 years. My first "real" knowledge was gleamed when I began programming in BASIC at age 8 on an old embedded Motorolla platform and Commodore Vic20, progressed to 'C' at around age 12 on an original IBM XT, and to the MS family of Visual C++ compilers in its fledging days in the early 90's. I have worked on various desktop and embedded Motorolla and Intel platforms, as well as a plethora of other systems, including the popular HP9000 and HP3000 systems. Experience extends from 'C' and 'C++' to Pascal, Ada, BASIC, Visual Basic, Fortran, COBOL and various database flavors, including FoxPro and Oracle. I know a little about a lot <g>. Nowadays I find myself learning an entirely new set of stuff as a software engineer writing evice drivers for a multitude of applications.
