PAS Business Liaison Lead
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
September 2013 – May 2015
Nottingham
This is my first role following the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme where I continued my work within the ICT Services Directorate at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

In this role I continued to work on the Trust’s deployment of the Medway PAS (Patient Administration System), this being the first step towards a full Electronic Health Record over the following 5 years. The Trust employs 13000 staff with around 6000 staff who were to be impacted by the deployment. The project involved moving from two separate legacy systems across two campuses to a single system. Overall, it was a high profile project, rich with development opportunities.

During the project I sat within the Business Change and Continuity workstream, helping to ensure that key project milestones were met. I worked closely with the many Healthcare specialties that the Hospital provides, ensuring the new system was fit for purpose and that the identified benefits for both staff and patients were realised.

As part of the project I volunteered to act as PPI (Patient and Public Involvement) Coordinator and recruited a total of 5 Patient Representatives to give input into the project.

Following the main PAS implementation I also led on the successful deployment of Outpatient Self-check in Kiosks. So far the deployment has involved the installation of a total of 11 kiosks across two of the Trust’s campuses, with a further 9 planned for Summer 2015.
