I have been in the IT field since the late eighties, mostly as a field tech of varying levels. Now I am in house and have had titles from computer coordinator to the new IT Director. I have been described as an IT generalist, which is about right. Strong trouble shooting ability, that helps me figure most out or guides me to the resources to get the job done.
I prefer to go a little slower and get it done correctly than have to do something twice or cause extra down time.
I have held in the past A+, MCP and MCSE certifications, but have not kept them up do to costs and work environment.
