Full Biography

I have worked on various projects for clients, and at various levels, here is a small sample.

MOSS 2007 installation for NHS Highlands where I was required to learn Sun Open Directory LDAP queries (in a weekend), and worked with Microsoft and the SharePoint developer to resolve a problem with the group queries to allow groups in S.O.D to be used to provide access to SharePoint.

SharePoint 2013 installation for North Lanarkshire Council, where I was involved to troubleshoot an issue with the User Profile Sync services, that was traced to a fault with the standard process of installing the Cumulative Update packages.  It was then my responsibility to produce work instructions for future use to ensure that the servers in the Development, User Acceptance and Live environments could be kept up to date.

Designing various network infrastructures for clients, multiple sites, DFS infrastructures, VPN links as well as onsite cabling and Rack cabling and layout.

Physical server design, build and deployments for large numbers of clients, ranging from small companies with one or two servers, to environments with hundreds of servers.  Also including build instructions for future deployments.

Designing multiple infrastructure options to meet specific pricing criteria, then presenting those options to board of directors, and explaining the different options and capabilities presented.
