I work for a International Investment Firm in South Africa, just recently list on the JSE and FTSE100.  I have 2.5 years of *yip* MAINFRAME COBOL experience on HP(MPE/ix) and IBM/IDMS(MVS).  I have been working in Delphi for about 2.5 years, and I'll never regret giving COBOL a swift boot up the *#@$ for Delphi.  

Iam practically a Delphi addict, I only joined the fun filled PC/Object-Orientated/Delphi world when Delphi 3.0 was about.  I have however done extensive amounts of work in Delphi 1, Delphi 3 and now Delphi 5…..Skipped 4 cos it escaped and was never actually released.  

Iam still *blush* supporting / maintaining / enhancing a 16Bit Delphi 1 app amongst others, and by now can just about write a book on the differences between 16bit Delphi and 32bit Delphi.

My GirlFriend often refers to DELPHI as the other woman in my life !!
