Full Biography

i started with 8080/z80 and 8035 assembler somewhere around 1978, moving later to vax, powerPc, and a variety of other stuff.  i've been doing C since approx 1984 (in real time programs) and consider myself fluent in C.  i've used C++ for a many years, and, tho i wouldn't consider myself an expert,  i understand the oop paradigm.

over the years, i've used (in addition to c/c++) tcl/tk, expect, perl, php, javascript and, of course, many, many sh/bash shell scripts plus a few less mainline languages.  i'm osx aware, unix/linux fluent, not a windoze aficionado, and might even be considered a unix bigot.  but then, whats wrong with that? ;-)   i first started using linux when the kernel was at 0.99 and it came on floppies downloaded over modems.

i've (semi-) retired, sold the house, bought a bus and hit the road with my wife.  is this a great country or what?
