Oversee daily operations of physical data center, virtual environment in VMWare ESXi and Citrix XenDesktop, and fiber channel SAN. Daily tasks also involve managing day to day needs of the Active Directory and Exchange servers.
The envrionment relies heavily upon Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp 7.5.
Architect new Citrix environments and conduct beta tests, building new Delivery Controllers (DDC), Provisioning Servers (PVS), Storefront servers and Netscaler.
Support applications deployed through XenApp or RDP, and research potential products for future use.
Network administration and architecture of ethernet network with Meraki Layer 3 switches as well as management of fiber channel network using QLogic products.
Ensure stable performance exists in the SAN with X-IO and Open-E solutions
Support physical network infrastructure to include Cisco, HP, QLogic and Sonicwall equipment
Perform penetration tests of company infrastructure, looking to eliminate security flaws.
Ensure licensing compliance with various vendors
Manage public DNS and internal DNS
Design integration plans for newly acquired assets to introduce them into the Henry S. Miller infrastructure.
