Assists in the diagnosis and resolution of problems and works with IT Programmers/Developers, Business Analysts, Data Architects and Solution Architects to implement solutions. Test/validate changes to correct or enhance systems. Involved in writing SQL queries to extract data from backend source systems to reconcile to front-end presentation. Creates technical and functional systems documentation such as mapping documents, Standard Operating Procedures, extract specifications and transformation specifications to ensure information is accurate and up to date. Creates excel spreadsheet and SQL queries to balances different claim sources between Business Objects, mainframe, EDW, and EDM database. Create, fix, and update defects by using SQL queries, joining multiple tables, and different databases and schemas between SQL Developer and Microsoft SQL Server. Create and update defects information in HP Application Lifecycle Management. Create excel spreadsheet to show analysis of the data output from these queries. Create technical specifications and reports to fix and update historical and ongoing fixes of defects. Creates new or updates current mapping specification and data dictionary, so CareFirst employees can understand how the data flows through different CareFirst databases. Works directly with developers to creating the technical specification, excel mapping specifications, and business rules for CareFirst data. Trains employees on new CareFirst practices and creates SOP’s for balancing and day to day task within the claim team department. Gives weekly reports and analysis of defects to CareFirst upper management giving status of defects and deadlines updates of current projects. Assists other departments with analysis of corporate initiatives using Excel and SQL to make determination of project or day to day decisions. Creates Stop Loss report for clients that show if members are 50% or 100% over their yearly or lifetime benefit.
