Full Biography

I do this just to help others.  I dont *have* to do it, and I dont get paid for it, so I would appreciate it if you would remember this when you interact with me.  ..and that includes people who are experts, no matter how many points you have.

I have 23 years of development experience, and I've coded with aggression in just about every mainstream language you can think of, and a few obscure ones.  I dont hide the fact that I am not a fan of any Microsoft Development language or platform.  They do a great desktop and office applications, but in my opinion they make the development process unnecessarily complicated, and there's no excuse for that.

In my early days (first 10 years) I wrote computer games in Fortran, and eventually for the Commodore 64, and later UNIX kernel code in 'C' and HyperSPARC Assembly Language.  Working in Investment Banks, I have written front and back office applications in C and C++, designed infrastructure components, architectures and operational procedures.  More recently, I write web applications in Java, PHP and other languages.

I am currently working on an infrastructure product (my own design) that will bring an expensive technology used by all major corporations into the Open Source community.  I currently have a working prototype in Java, running in BEA WebLogic, and am currently porting the exact same functionality to a series of PHP scripts - can you imagine how that works?  ...exactly.

The above text is what I felt like writing today.  Tomorrow I might feel differently.
