More bioI've been working in IT for over 3 decades. From humble beginnings as an IBM Mainframe computer operator, through programming ranks and now a database administrator.
I primarily work with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server. When I'm not neck deep in them, I dabble in Windows and Unix scripting and system administration. I still also occasionally have to get my hands dirty in application coding too.
My wife and children call me a big geek, and they are probably not too far from the truth.
In my spare time (yeah, right, who has spare time in this field) I blog infrequently at http://www.dba-in-exile.com
In my personal life I'm a fairly easy-going husband and father to two 20 somethings and 2 teenagers. I'm Australian born and currently USA resident.
I live in the outer suburbs of Denver, Colorado, USA.
