Former Programmer (but couldn't find a job back when Mr. "what resession?" Bush was president)
Programmed and operated IBM 360/370 mainframe computers years ago. Wrote COBOL, IDBMS, CICS, ASM, REX, and a few other odd langs.
Self taught on 8086 "PC". Learned MS ASM from an old Peter Norton book, still do the odd V-basic program just to keep my logic skills in shape.
Hate C or C++. Ashton Tate DBase IV and Windows, in any form, are a good examples of why it sucks (memory leak city). Modula II did a better job of OOP, much easier to write (but its a dead lang now).
