|51m
This episode of Conversations with Tech Experts features Jazz Kaur, Jr. IT Security Admin and EE Rookie of the Year. She joins Experts Exchange CEO Randy Redberg and Director of Bus. Dev. Thomas Bernal to discuss the ways technology professionals can achieve success by differentiating themselves. Jazz kicks off the conversation by revealing her inspirations for pursuing a career in technology, including the movie October Sky. They continue on to discuss her activities outside of work, which include being a poet and a cartoonist for "The Tiny Koala Doodle Company" which she started herself. Next, Randy and Jazz break down her poem about the Experts Exchange community called "The EEC Universe." The conversation finishes with Jazz's message to young women in tech and her big idea.

From Jazz:
I'm currently a Jr. Security Administrator. I officially started in the IT industry around 2014, where over time I have gained Help Desk support and walk-up TechBar experience troubleshooting Windows environments primarily. I specialize in information security, technical documentation, and training development. Outside of the tech industry, I'm a self-taught Cartoonist who prefers to draw digitally with an ordinary computer mouse rather than a pen stylus. I am the creator and owner of the Tiny Koala Doodle Company (TKDC).

I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University's  Learning Design & Technology Bachelors of Science program and have an Associate of Applied Science degree in Technical Management, where I completed e.g. data security and risk management courses aside from the experience I developed from previous roles in tackling compliance projects. I received the 2020 Rookie of the Year award from EE!

Thank you for inviting me to chat, EE! It was truly a blast to speak with Randy and Thomas! Lol, I absolutely hope The EEC Universe poem becomes an official rap or song one day. :)  This article is a drafted extension of what I wanted to emphasize over resources for those of almost any age and young professionals < The Amazing Computer and Technology Race / > also why collaboration, as well as hobbies outside of IT, are valuable to have across your lifetime.
