I miss the old black rotary phones made by Bell Labs back in the 70's. Don't get me wrong, I love my smart phone,  but those old rotaries could take a direct hit from a sledge hammer and be just fine. I don't know how many times I saw ours tumble to the ground or get smashed by some careless kid, of course I plead the fifth on whether I had any involvement with such abuses ;)
