The devastation of Hurricane Harvey is heavily impacting our fellow experts in Texas and the Gulf area. We want to offer our support as a community. Want to get involved? Here’s how you can make a difference.

Donate your Expert Shirts!
Redeem Expert T-Shirts with “Donate to Charity” in the address field. The value of these shirts will be donated to those in need, who’ve been affected by Hurricane Harvey.

If you would like to donate all of your redeemable shirts please message me with a subject of Hurricane Harvey and message body of Donate All.

If you don’t currently have Expert T-Shirts to redeem, you can still offer your expertise to help Hurricane Harvey victims replace and repair their technology. Here’s some more information on Expert Ranks & Certifications.

For those who want to start repairing their homes, the first step is to remove all the wet drywall/insulation at least 2 feet above the high water mark (water will absorb up the drywall and insulation).  Then you'll want to spray something like Microban to kill/prevent mold all over the studs/inner walls and setup some fans to dry the area before replacing the insulation and drywall.

Some more tips to prevent mold after a flood:

I do not have a complete address to begin with so I guess the routine does not care when then information is incomplete.

Craig, I have many shirts to donate, 86 ones. Can you assist so that all go to charity without me having to click through the process 86 times? It would be nice to offer this "multi-donation-feature" to all.

John I will donate all of them for you if that is what you want. I definitely don't want people to have to submit that many times.

Craig

I've redeemed two shirts for levels that I hadn't redeemed before.  Please contribute/donate the remainder of my T-shirts to the Houston flood charity.

If there is any difference in the value of the T-shirts, please contribute Extra Large T-shirt values, rather than Small T-shirt values.

I thought EE was going to take my shirts, but that did not happen, so I must have been confused.

So this morning, I spent 90 minutes redeemed my shirts - 200 shirts today in addition to 40 redeemed earlier, so 240 shirts redeemed.

Two things:

1. It was a trip down memory lane - shirts for now dead technologies.
2. It would be a very fine idea for EE The Company to match the monetary value of the shirts being donated.

I donated some shirts, thanks.  I also sent a package to Houston yesterday.  People have lost their homes, cars, pictures, jobs, businesses, and more. Animals need help too. Some of my friends who are there are getting crews together and helping others clean up. Now Irma is kicking up and enormous -- pray for the safety of those in her path.

Too much water from the hurricanes, and not enough to stop the wild fires to the west.
