Was asked to update an application on my computer this morning via email. I clicked the link they sent me, went to the website, downloaded the software package, installed the software, software recognized there was existing software and requested to uninstall the old software, uninstalled the old software and finally installed the new software.
Really weirded me out. I haven't had to do something that extensive with an application update in over a year. xD

You were notified by email with a link? That in itself is weird and poor practice on the developers part. What was the software application out of interest? (Assuming you are able to say)
