That author (G. Kelly) is not seen favorably by some others

I just did the July 9 updates yesterday and that fixed a Lenovo Video driver update issue. The prior Video driver was find with June Windows Level (…. .175) but the new driver was not.  …. 239 seems to have fixed the issue.

Overall good news on any machines we have upgraded

That article is not related to the article I posted. It is about a totally different issue. I was posting about the registry not being backed up, despite the fact that Windows tells you it has been done successfully.

We may not on the same page. I am on Tuesday's new build  (…. .239) and I backed up my registry. It did it, saved it and I can see the backup. But no message saying it had been done.

Well, I don't know why you posted what you did then. But anyway, if there is some documentation showing that the issue has been addressed, it would be helpful as proof by observation is not always the most accurate. Right now the Microsoft KB article about the registry not being backed up is still active. So if this issue has been addressed, hopefully they take the KB down.

The author you quoted has been "charged" with quoting misinformation about Windows 10 - that is why I posted but I was thinking that new updates have fixed this issue and all is working well for me right now in terms of registry backups.
