USB Microscope Comes in Handy
I considered making this an article, but this seemed to be the better way to do this.

The intro image  shows a USB microscope (~$30.00) and one of the pictures it took.  It is especially interesting because I didn't really think this would be of much use.  I just liked the idea of it.  I had the "toy" sitting in my office for only 4 days before I really needed to use it.  One of my users came to me with a MacBook Pro that no longer started, at all.  Under normal circumstances, meaning if it was a windows based computer, I would take it apart and see what the problem was.  There was a problem with that.  Since it was a MAC computer, I didn't have the correct wrench to unscrew the chassis.  I took my USB microscope, pictured above, and took a picture of the screw hole, also pictured, which I then sent out to my colleagues within the institution (a medical college) to see if anyone had a screwdriver to fit this screw.

It took about 2 hours before I received a response that someone indeed did have the correct tool and would either be willing to lend it to me or do the job themselves.

|Dear all,

I am working with ASP CLASSIC

I did not use querystring. Just table to table.

I have two tables:

TABLE2 - with the field texts(char)

and

Table1 - spanish (text 30 chars)

I want find on table2.texts each register placed on Table1.spanish

Examples (that not works):

rs.open "select * from table1, table2 where table1.spanish like '%" & table2.texts & "%' ", con

rs.open "SELECT table1.*, table2.texts FROM table1 INNER JOIN table2   ON table2.texts LIKE ('%" &  table1.spanish & "%') ", con

Example: table2.texts: "Y eso ha sido exactamente lo sucedido en los últimos 10 años con un sector bancario que en 2007 sobrevaloraba tanto su solidez
 "
table1.spanish: "sector bancario"

But these codes not works.

Could someone please place a code that works?

Thanks in advance

Logging on to this website after a very long gap.  If I recollect this website didn't had "-" character in the domain name and the Domain Name gave different meaning for some users ;-)

Welcome back!
I don't know if it's true, but I read they added the hyphen just for that reason.
Same was true for massage-therapist.com.

Assuming that both exchange server are within the same organization:
  Just sent a regular email as you normallly would for a external mailbox.

----------------------------------
If you have 2 different exchange server with a mailbox on each other...
The 1st exchange server will route the email using MX record to the second exchange server.
(It's what happen when you submit an email from whichever exchange to a remote domain and server).

One of my favorite things to do is play games. Seriously, I built an entire table from scratch for nothing other then to play and store my many games.

I also know new parents and veteran parents who are looking for more fun to have with their young children.

So when Google Announced that the Assistant, Home and Mini would be able to play games…I had to investigate.

Google breaks it down into these categories:

Learn Together
Have fun with your family and little ones with quizzes or learn things together.

Talk like a Chef (Hey Google, Play Talk like a Chef)
CK-12 EDU Trivia (Hey Google, talk to CK-12)
Space Trivia (Hey Google, play Space Trivia)
Study.com Quiz (Hey Google, talk to Study.com)
Homework Help (Hey Google, help me with my homework)
National Geographic Bee (Hey Google, talk to National Geographic Bee)
Trivia Showdown (Hey Google, talk to Trivia Showdown)
Math Showdown (Hey Google, talk to Math Showdown)
Everyday Hero (Hey Google, Talk to Everyday Heroes)
Talk Like an Astronaut (Hey Google, play Talk Like an Astronaut)
Sporcle Junior (Hey Google, talk to Sporcle Junior)
Planet Quiz (Hey Google, talk to Planet Quiz)
Quizziz (Hey Google, talk to Quizzizz Student)
Animal Trivia (Hey Google, play Animal Trivia)
Play Together
Have some digital fun with the family with these games, trivia and more!

Which DC Superhero are you most like? (Hey Google, what’s my Justice League superhero?)

Webroot Doubles Down on MSPs

"Some of the new offerings involved acquisitions. Others are homegrown. But they’re all coming together. Indeed, Webroot is coordinating its R&D, sales and marketing efforts to make it easier MSPs to try, buy and deploy the security solutions, Potts says."

How can beacons help asset tracking and management?

You have probably noticed this before, but when you download most applications, they ask for permission to use your location. Depending on what the app is for, you may or may not allow it. It might be an app for fast food or it might be an app for grocery shopping coupons. https://goo.gl/XyFcio #Assettracking #Management #Mobileapp #Peerbits

Is there any downloadable software for Windows or for other devices connected to our network (such as cell phones)that would detect devices that are sending out SPAM.  Our internet provider has suspended our outbound email services until they know that we've fixed the problem.  I'd like to test all devices on the network to find out the source of the spamming.  Any ideas?

Setup an SMTP server (such as the free one included in windows under IIS) to act as a relay.

Point all of your actual applications that sdnd mail to this relay.

block all devices (except the IP pf the mail relay) from having port 25 ourbound.

Now you can be pretty muxh assured that anything else which is sending email is blocked, and you can review the smtp logs of all devices which de relay through your local smtp relay server, allowing tou to troubleshoot connectivity and locate any abusive systems.

#TodayILearned: #Gradle for #EclipseIDE is quite stubborn when it comes to adding a JVM container to one's #Java projects.

Every time I update the JVM (in this case to 1.8.0_152) I need to tell Eclipse and Gradle which JVM to run, and which JVM to apply to my Java projects. When we tell Gradle to apply the java plug-in to a project, it automatically inserts some random JRE that isn't defined anywhere. It most certainly isn't the SDK that my projects need.

To solve this, we can set the Eclipse classpath from the Gradle build script, after we tell Gradle to apply the eclipse plug-in to a project. It looks like this:

def sdkName = 'SDK 1.8.0_152'
def sdkContainerPrefix = 'org.eclipse.jdt.launching.JRE_CONTAINER'
def sdkContainer = sdkContainerPrefix +  '/org.eclipse.jdt.internal.debug.ui.launcher.StandardVMType/' + sdkName

eclipse.classpath.containers sdkContainer

And then Gradle nicely adds TWO (2) JVM containers: the random JRE it defined in some unknown location, plus the SDK we just specified.

(Note: the SDK specified above bears the name 'SDK 1.8.0_152'. This is a custom name chosen by me. It is the same as I chose in Eclipse' preferences for Java -> Installed JREs. In my set-up, it is the only JRE I specified, and therefore the default.)

To fix this, with Gradle 4.3.1, we get to undo part of what Gradle's java plug-in does. Instead of the above instruction, we do this:

project.afterEvaluate {
  project.eclipse.classpath {
    containers.removeAll …

Hello all,

I've got an issue with a server that is running Windows Server 2012 (Not R2) where it doesn't go to the lock screen after a specified amount of time.

I have tried editing group policies, power saver options (both normal and advanced) and changing a registry directory to bring up an additional option in power saver advanced options, none of which work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Much appreciated.

#TodayILearned: #Java has a built-in converter from text to number, but it's REALLY hard to find.

It's called #NumberStringFormat, part of #JavaFX. Using it is rather straightforward.

I had scoured the interwebz for a few hours, looking for a decent solution. Decent, as in: doesn't require me to write the conversion algorithm, nor uses regex.

That excludes using stupid tricks as a string.replace(), a scanner.nextInt(), and streaming string.codePoints() to test for Character.isDigit().

I got quite saddened by Java for exposing no straightforward conversion tooling for this job, which, if you check a quick web search, is a VERY COMMON requirement.

Neither the String nor the Number class contain a hint of such a convertability.

Luckily, NumberStringFormat does. It extends StringFormat, is locale aware, defaults to the system locale, can be given custom formats.

Akin you'll find DateStringFormat. I'll check that out next: in a GUI I'm building with JavaFX, I need to convert SQL datetime2 into String and back. The DateStringFormat might just help.

Happy data pumping!
