How to view a JPEG ?

I'm programming a graphic tool using VC++ 4.2. I want this tool to view JPEG image. How can I do this ?
I've heard that VC++ 4.1 or later supports for viewing JPEG.
Is DrawDib used for it ? If so, how can I write the code for encode/decode JPEG ?
Thanks in advance.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, VC 4.2 (I don't know about 4.1) can view JPEGS, but only with Visual J++ installed (and that is viewing w/in the IDE, not in a generated app).  DrawDib only works with Windows bitmaps.  There is freeware code available from the JPEG group that will decode/encode a JPEG for you.  I can't remember where to find it right now.  (Ask slarti (another expert) where to find it.)
